Your responsibility
We are seeking support for the research project "GANGES2 – Modularized Anonymization for Distributed Data Pipelines." GANGES2 is the consolidated continuation of the GANGES project within the "Research Network Anonymization for Secure Data Use" funding program. The goal is to develop new models and approaches for anonymizing complex data streams from GANGES, extending anonymization to data pipelines while considering additional quality attributes such as energy efficiency.
- Support in the design, implementation, and evaluation of a research prototype (60%)
- Support in research activities (20%)
- Support in the analysis of requirements and use cases (10%)
- Support in documenting research results (10%)
Your profile
Must-have criteria:
- Excellent programming skills in Python or Java
- Experience with Kubernetes
- Experience with microservices and cloud-native architectures
- Experience in one of the following areas/technologies:
- Privacy Enhancing Technologies (PETs)
- Tools for experimental system evaluation (Kepler, OpenTelemetry, or Jaeger)
- Intelligent models (ML/LLMs)
- Data pipelines and corresponding workflow engines (Argo Workflows or Airflow)
- Good German and/or English skills required; willingness to acquire any missing language skills
Nice-to-have criteria:
- Experience supporting applied research projects
- Independent and motivated work style with a strong willingness to learn
- Experience with anonymization and data protection techniques in data management
