Research Assistant

Your responsibility
- Collaboration in a research project focusing on Self-Sovereign Identity (SSI) and Distributed Ledger Technologies (DLT)
- Analysis of existing procedures and protocols; development and evaluation of new concepts and data structures
- Supervision of student employees and student theses within the research project
- Opportunity to pursue a doctorate is available
Your profile
- Successfully completed academic studies (Master's degree, diploma or equivalent) in computer science, business informatics, computer engineering or a comparable subject
Practical knowledge of the following concepts

Authentication protocols (OAuth, OpenID Connect, SAML, etc.)

SSI and DLT
-
Privacy-preserving techniques - Zero-Knowledge Proofs (zk-SNARK, zk-STARK, Bulletproof, etc.)

Very good understanding of fundamental programming concepts, ability to communicate complex issues in a didactically meaningful way

Committed and independent behaviour, analytical and strategic thinking, flexibility and creativity. Organisational and communication skills. Reliability and ability to work in a team desirable

Bring a good mix of design thinking combined with empirical analysis for privacy-preserving solutions in authentication systems

Analyze present state-of-the-art for digital credential lifecycle management and design architecture for privacy-preserving systems.

Supervision skills for student workers

Good language skills in German and/or English are required; willingness to acquire all missing language skills

Development experience with privacy-preserving tools such as Zokrates, libsnark, etc. desirable

Articulate business needs with industry partner and realise technical and functional requirements desirable

Experience with projects resulting from industrial partnerships desirable

Professional communication skill with industry partners desirable
