Student assistant (80 hours per month)

Working on the project "OMLO-IOD", a cooperation project with 3 partners for the development of a mission to demonstrate optical computing in orbit:

• Support in creating the mission requirements and performing the mission analysis (60%)
• Support in the setup of a CAD model of a satellite (20%)
• Support in the mechanical and thermal simulation of the satellite (10%)
• Support in the creation and maintenance of project documentation (10%)

Mandatory Criteria:

• Very good knowledge of satellite technology and design
• Very good knowledge in doing mission analyses
• Very good knowledge in the use of common Office applications
• Good knowledge of German and/or English required; willingness to acquire the respective missing language skills

Optional Criteria:

• Good knowledge in the use of a 3D CAD tool
• Good knowledge of Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE)
• Good programming knowledge in Python
• Good knowledge in the use of a tool for finite element analyses
• Independence, structured way of working, and personal initiative
