Your responsibility
The scope of work lies within the interdisciplinary field of biotechnologically produced, fungal-based biomaterials, which are to be optimised in terms of their material properties. The research is embedded in the Collaborative Research Centre 'MY-CO BUILD: Biomanufacturing, characterisation, and sustainability assessment of fungal-based building materials' and includes administrative support in the areas of finance, procurement, event management, public relations, and human resources to assist the SFB’s management and administration. Responsibilities include, among other things, regularly monitoring the expenditure of research project funds and preparing budget plans and statements of expenditure, coordinating personnel matters, taking minutes and preparing reports, designing, editing, and maintaining the SFB website, as well as organizing national and international meetings, workshops, and conferences.
Your profile
- Completed training as an administrative assistant or office management/office communications specialist, or other employees with equivalent skills and experience
- Very good knowledge of budgetary law, as well as the approval principles for budgetary and third-party funded projects and the relevant regulations-Relevant experience in managing third-party funded projects and budgetary funds in a university setting
- High degree of responsibility in independently monitoring (changing) funding agency requirements, budgetary regulations, and legal provisions
- Good German and/or English language skills required; willingness to learn any missing language skills
- Proficiency in information and communication technology (ICT), including SAP, and excellent writing skills on a computer desirable
- Excellent communication skills, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to work well in a team desirable
