Student assistant (40 hours per month)

Participation in the German-Turkish industrial research project “TERALAND – Terrain Risk Assessment for Landslide Detection and Simulation” within the subproject “Integrated Landslide Risk Modeling and Impact Assessment”. Scientific support in the development and evaluation of a tool for dynamic risk assessment and decision support for landslides:

• Literature research (40%)
• Support in the processing of geodata (20%)
• Content support for producing maps and visualizations (20%)
• Support with the editorial processing of scientific texts (20%)

Mandatory Criteria:

• Good knowledge in geotechnology or geodesy
• Good GIS and Microsoft Office skills
• Good German and/or English language skills required; willingness to acquire the missing language skills

Optional Criteria:

• Good knowledge of mass movements or geo-hazard or geo-risk analysis
• Good programming skills in Python or R
• Good knowledge of machine learning or (geo-)databases
