Student assistant (40 hours per month)

Become part of the interdisciplinary team of the KIWI-biolab and support us in the cooperation project “FB-Lac” with the company Novonesis (Denmark). The aim of the project is to determine whether a feed-batch process for a lactic acid bacterium can be established that leads to a higher biomass concentration compared to the current batch process.

• Support in the preparation and implementation of miniaturized fed-batch experiments (40 %)
• Support in the implementation of analytical methods (HPLC, MS) and subsequent analysis of biological samples (40 %)
• Support with data analysis (20%)

Mandatory:

• Good knowledge in the field of bioprocess engineering (upstream processing, microbial cultivation, analytics)
• Good written and spoken English skills
• Programming experience with Python

Optional criteria:

• Experience with lab automation
