Research Associate (PostDoc) - 2nd qualification period (Habilitation)

Your responsibility

  • Work in research and teaching at the Institute of Mathematics (Stochastics and Financial Mathematics)
  • Research areas of the group include stochastic analysis, in particular rough path theory and rough stochastic differential equations, stochastic filtering, jump processes, and applications in financial and insurance mathematics
  • Supervision of seminars and lectures, teaching of exercise classes (4 SWS for a full-time position)
  • Co-supervision of Bachelor and Master theses

Your profile

  • Successfully completed university degree (Master, Diplom or equivalent) and PhD in mathematics with a focus on stochastic analysis – such as rough paths / rough stochastic analysis, stochastic filtering, or processes with jumps. At the time of hire, proof of completion of a doctoral degree must be submitted. Applications from candidates in the final phase of their PhD are explicitly welcome.
  • Experience or interest in actuarial/insurance mathematics is an asset
  • Relevant publications (including preprints) and international research experience
  • The ability to teach in German and/or in English is required; willingness to acquire the respective missing language skills.
