Student assistant (80 hours per month)

Working in the project "OMLO-IOD", a cooperation project with 3 further partners for the development of a mission to demonstrate optical computing in orbit:

• Support in the electrical design of PCBs for a satellite (50%)
• Support in the definition of electrical interfaces (20%)
• Support in the selection and inventory management of electrical components (20%)
• Support in the creation of project documentation (10%)

Mandatory Criteria

• Very good knowledge of circuit design and circuit simulation
• Very good knowledge of PCB design, commissioning, and testing
• Very good knowledge in the use of the tool KiCAD
• Good knowledge of German and/or English required; willingness to acquire the respective missing language skills

Optional Criteria

• Experience in the development of electronics for space systems
• Good knowledge of C/C++ embedded programming
• Good programming knowledge in Python
• Very good knowledge in the use of common Office applications
• Independence, structured way of working, and personal initiative
