Student assistant (40 hours per month)

The research group Language and Communication in Artificial and Biological Systems, led by Prof. Dr. Fatma Deniz, is looking for a student research assistant for the “FONDA-II” project to develop, test, and maintain tools for analyzing fMRI data:

• Assistance with the development of tools in Python and JavaScript (80%)
• Assistance with testing and quality assurance of software tools (10%)
• Assistance with building and testing machine learning models (10%)

Required criteria:

• Excellent knowledge of computer science, scientific computing or computational neuroscience
• Good programming skills in Python and JavaScript
• Good knowledge of software engineering design patterns and best practices
• Excellent written and spoken English skills

Optional criteria:

• Experience with Docker
• Experience with machine learning
