Technical Assistant

Technical Assistant for work in the cell biology laboratory in the field of human T-cell immunology and the maintenance and appplication of large equipment (fluorescence-activated cell sorters, multiparameter (spectral) cytometers) in the central cytometry facility of the SiM, as well as training employees in cell sorting or multiparameter cell analysis.

• Completed vocational training with state recognition as a medical-technical, biological-technical or physical-technical assistant
• several years of experience with flow cytometric cell analysis and cell sorting
• experience working in a cell biology and molecular biology research laboratory in particular in vitro cultivation and/or genetic manipulation of T cells
• experience with magnetic cell separation of human leukocyte populations (especially MACS) (desired)
• experience with the large-scale equipment available at Si-M (Cytek Aurora & Northern Light, MACSQuant, BD FACSDiscover S8 Flow Analyzer/Sorter) (desired)
• high motivation and flexibility in terms of working hours (desired)
• ability to work in a team (desired)
• ability to work independently (desired)
• organizational skills and responsible handling of biological matarials
• very good German skills, good Engtish skills (spoken/written)
