Research Assistant - 0.8 working-time

Your responsibility

Implementation of the activities within a Horizon Europe research project, including, among others

  • Conducting a systematic gap analysis of existing circular economy methodologies
  • Developing a microeconomic indicator framework to measure circular economy
  • Organizing the overall pilot testing of the framework at industry, municipal, and household level
  • Testing the framework at industrial level
  • Refining the framework based on pilot testing results
  • Preparing scientific publications, reports, and policy briefs
  • Supporting the development of training materials and toolkits
  • Participating in dissemination and stakeholder engagement activities at the European level
  • Support in acquiring additional research projects
  • Contribution to scientific publications and participation in scientific conference

Your profile

  • Successfully completed university degree (Master, Diplom, or equivalent) in Economics, Business Administration, Political Science, Industrial Engineering, or related fields
  • Strong interest in applied research and standardization (preferably in the field of bioeconomy and circular economy)
  • Experience in implementing European or national projects in the field of circular economy bioeconomy or broader sustainability domain
  • Experience in development and moderation of co-creation events (workshops, participatory approaches) is preferred.
  • High level of commitment and self‑motivation, with the ability to work independently, and interest in pursuing a PhD related to the projects topics is desirable
  • Strong social and communication skills is desirable
  • Willingness to travel occasionally across Europe
  • Good knowledge of German and/or English required; willingness to acquire the respective missing language skills.
  • Italian is preferred
  • Knowledge of quantitative research methods and good command of statistical software (e.g., R, Stata) is an advantage
