Student assistant (40 hours per month)
Your responsibility
The Department of Electrochemistry and Electrochemical Energy Conversion is seeking support for the ASTERISK research project in the following areas:
- Support in the investigation of materials for efficient seawater splitting (50%)
- Support in the synthesis of metal oxide crystals and layers (protective layers made of tantalum oxide) (20%)
- Supporting the characterization of metal oxide crystals and layers using X-ray diffraction (XRD) and other standard methods (20%)
- Supporting the incorporation of metal oxide crystals and layers into catalyst layers (10%)
Your profile
Required skills:
- Strong knowledge of chemistry or chemical engineering
- Strong knowledge of catalysis, electrochemical water splitting, and materials science/chemical analysis- Good written and spoken English skills
- Experience in the field of alternative and renewable energy processes
Desirable requirements:
- High degree of independence in dealing with scientific issues
