Student assistant (80 hours per month)
Your responsibility
The position is part of the EU-EIC Pathfinder project gEICko, which brings together the expertise of six cooperation partners and is dedicated to the active removal of space debris. The aim is to develop and test a prototype for a “capture kit” that will enable docking with uncooperative targets using gecko materials. The TU Berlin is leading the construction and testing.
- Support in esigning electronics for measuring forces, accelerations, and rotation rates (20%)
- Support in the design and construction of circuit boards (15%)
- Support with the programming of STM microcontrollers in C/C++ and Python (15%)
- Support in setting up a test environment for gecko-based docking with satellite simulators (15%)
- Support in setting up and further developing these satellite simulators (20%)
- Support with the mplementation of the tracking software and the ELISSA framework in ROS/ROS2 (15%)
Your profile
Required criteria:
- Good knowledge of electronics development
- Experience with C/C++ and Python
- Experience with circuit board development
- Very good written and spoken English skills
Desirable criteria:
- Experience with ROS/ROS2
- Experience with test campaigns and data evaluation
- Analytical mindset
- Structured approach to work
