Student assistant (80 hours per month)

Supporting activities under supervision in the field of multi-robot systems:

• preparatory and supporting work in the Programming in Python/C++/Rust/ROS 2 within our open-source research testbed for robot swarms (60%).
• support in the execution of flight experiments with robot teams (20%)
• preparatory and supporting work in the embedded programming in Rust/C for the firmware of the robots (10%)
• within given specifications and criteria assistance in the validation of new planning and control algorithms for collaborative robot teams (10%)

Must

1. very good programming skills in Rust, Python, or C++
2. good mathematical basics (linear algebra and calculus)
3. good written and spoken English skills

Optional criteria

1. fundamentals of artificial intelligence / machine learning
2. basics of control engineering / robotics
3. experience with modelling and control of flying robots
4. experience with embedded systems (Arduino, STM32)
5. experience with the Robot Operating System (ROS)
