Student assistant (40 hours per month)

The SozImpact project at the ZTG supports 6 inter- and transdisciplinary projects in the “Transformation Cluster Social Innovations for Sustainable Cities” programme in reflecting on the intended and achieved social impacts as well as the recording of impacts using a digitalized monitoring tool (SynSICRIS; https://blog.dini.de/EPub_FIS/2024/06/17/synsicris/; https://www.uni-kassel.de/forschung/synsicris/startseite.html). Part of the accompanying research is also the comparative systematization of the social innovations pursued in the projects and their effects. The future holder of the position will have the following tasks:

• Support in literature research for monitoring sustainable development in the area of construction and housing and corresponding social innovations (30%)
• Support in the development of specific impact indicators for social innovations (e.g. on sustainable housing concepts) (30%)
• Support with the evaluation of the data (1) to compare the 6 projects and (2) with regard to the further development of the monitoring tool (40%)

Must criteria:

• Initial experience in researching social impacts of social innovations for sustainable urban development (e.g. on sustainable building and housing concepts)
• Initial experience with the evaluation of large qualitative, quantitative or mixed-methods data sets (e.g. in Excel, MaxQDA)
• Very good written and spoken German and English skills

Can criteria:

• Basic knowledge of database structure and categorization
• Experience with entering data in databases
• Knowledge of approaches to impact assessment of inter- and transdisciplinary research projects
