The "Information Systems Engineering (ISE)" chair under the direction of Prof. Dr.-Ing. Stefan Tai specializes in teaching and research in the area of quality-driven, continuous engineering of future-oriented, platform-based distributed software systems. Our focus is on cloud-native and blockchain platforms, with a particular attention to analyzing and navigating architectural and design decisions and quality trade-offs within these platforms and for the use of the platforms.
Tasks
The department is looking for a research associate (d/m/w) to strengthen the international team for innovative research in one or more of the subject areas mentioned above. The range of tasks also includes teaching on these subject areas in the bachelor's and master's degree programs in computer science and information systems management. The doctorate is actively encouraged and supported.
Requirements
- Successfully completed academic university degree (Master, Diplom or equivalent) in Computer Science, Information Systems Engineering/Management or a related field of study.
- Competence in the areas of distributed systems, data management and software engineering
- The ability to teach in German and/or English is required; willingness to acquire the language skills that are missing
Desirable:
- Basic experience in research methods and scientific writing
- Experience in teaching and didactic competence

- Competence in the area of security and privacy is an advantage
- Communication and team skills, independent working style, high motivation
