Tasks
- participation in research of the chair, independent work on a research project in the field electrical discharge machining
- investigation of the influence of fluid mechanical process parameters during electrical discharge milling
- planning, execution and evaluation of electrical discharge machining experiments
- knowledge transfer to the industry and university education
- presentation of research results to industry representatives and scientists at (inter)national conferences and trade fairs
- international, scientific travel activities
Requirements
- successfully completed university degree (Diplom, Master or equivalent) in natural sciences or engineering (e.g., mechanical engineering, engineering science, computational engineering science, physics, materials engineering or similar)
- advanced knowledge in the field of electrical discharge machining
- knowledge in the areas of design and process monitoring
- good knowledge of German and/or English required; willingness to acquire the missing language skills in each case
required:
- confident handling of MS Office products
- knowledge in statistical design of experiments
- independent, systematic and structured working method
- independent work in laboratories and machine tools (including their maintenance and overhaul)
- intention to working towards a doctorate and to work scientifically in a multidisciplinary team
- willingness to carry out business trips (national and international)
