Research assistant - salary grade E 13 TV-L Berliner Hochschulen

• conducting and supporting courses (especially study projects) as part of the German language Bachelor´s degree program "Environmental Planning". Subject areas: Environmental planning incl. landscape planning; projected areas; current developments in the field of work, e.g. in the context of climate change or socio-ecological transformation
• publishing scientific articles
• contribution to academic self-administration

• successfully completed university degree (Diploma, Master or equivalent) in Landscape Planning, Environmental Planning or equivalent
• very good knowledge of the contents and methods of Landscape Planning and its ecological, political and societal context
• good knowledge of other formal and informal planning and conservation instruments and methods (e.g. protected areas, Conservation Standards)
• The ability to teach in German and/or in English is required; willingness to acquire the respective missing language skills
• very good computer literacy: GIS, MS-Office, Citavi
• didactic skills, commitment, capacity for teamwork, aptitude for independent and self reliant work

Desirable:

• Experience in university teaching, knowledge of university structures and processes, as well as other relevant experience, for example in planning offices or administrations, would be an advantage.
