Research Associate (PostDoc) - salary grade 13 TV-L Berliner Hochschulen

Tasks

Teaching (4 hours per week) and research in the field of statistical physics of soft matter and biological systems with the focus on non-equilibrium statistical physics, active systems, complex fluids, and (bio-)fluid dynamics at our institute. Participation in the third-party funded projects of the work group Stark.

Requirements

  • Successfully completed university degree (Master, diplom or equivalent) and successfully completed PhD in physics or a related field (or completion by the start of the employment contract)
  • Very good knowledge in theoretical physics
  • Very good prior knowledge in statistical physics of soft matter and biological systems as well as experience in numerical methods
  • High level of commitment and ability to work independently
  • Very good knowledge of written and spoken German and English
  • Good didactical skills are advantageous
